Good Access
At Konventum, we are covered by the "God Adgang" (Good Access) labeling scheme, and we welcome all types of guests. However, if you have a disability, we want to ensure you are informed as best as possible about our building, so you know what to expect when you visit us.
Konventum spans over 20,000 square meters and is a facility that, since its completion in 1969, has been expanded several times. This has resulted in a building across multiple levels with many stairs. So, even though we hold the "God Adgang" certification, there are several things we would like to make you aware of before you arrive.
For Wheelchair Users:
- At Konventum, there are two elevators located at opposite ends of the building.
If you require a room for two people, we can offer our Deluxe Twin rooms, which feature no door sills inside the room.
If you require a single room, we can offer our accessible rooms on the ground floor or our Deluxe Single rooms.
If you would like more information from us, you are always welcome to contact us directly to hear about your options for visiting. Send an email to booking@konventum.dk or call us at +45 4928 0900.
You can read more about the Good Access certification here: www.godadgang.dk/
Parking
With us, parking is free of charge in connection with conferences, meetings, and events. We have 450 free outdoor parking spaces available, as well as six parking spaces for electric vehicles in the front courtyard.
NOTE! Parking in the front courtyard is reserved for individuals requiring special consideration. When parking in the front courtyard, a parking permit is required, which can be obtained at the reception.
Charge Your EV with Us
We have six parking spaces reserved for charging electric vehicles. Payment for charging is managed and collected through the Monta app.
To use the charger, you will need the Monta app. You can either download it here (for Apple or Android) or scan the QR code found on the charging station. Managing and paying for the charging of your electric vehicle is done entirely through the app.
The chargers are equipped with Type 2 plugs and can charge up to 22 kW.

If you have any allergies or special dietary needs that we should accommodate, you are more than welcome to contact us prior to your stay.

Room Cleaning
Out of consideration for the environment, we do not clean rooms that do not require it.
If you would like a light cleaning and trash pickup, simply notify the reception by 10:00 PM the evening before at the latest.
There is, of course, no extra cost associated with this service.
Craving a Snack?
At the reception, you can purchase candy, chips, and beverages, as well as our two exciting art books.
About the Rooms
Smoking is not permitted in the rooms Smoking is only allowed in our designated smoking areas (outdoors by the provided cigarette bins, as well as in our indoor smoking cabin in the bar area).
Tap water is drinkable The water quality in Denmark is very high, and it is therefore perfectly safe to drink the water straight from the tap.
Watch TV in your room Chromecast is available on your TV. We also offer the following TV channels: DR channels, TV2, NEWS, SKY, SVT 1/2, TV4, and TV6.
Do you need your clothes washed or ironed? Regarding laundry services, please contact our reception.
Indoor Activities
Billiards, Darts, and Foosball We have several areas where you can play darts, billiards, foosball, or table tennis. Ask at the reception to learn more.
Fitness & Sauna We have a fitness room on the lower level, which is equipped with cardio and strength training machines as well as free weights. There is also space for group classes in the room. Adjacent to the fitness room, there are two changing rooms, both featuring a sauna, shower, and hairdryer.
Explore the Art Collection Did you know that we have one of Denmark's largest private art collections? We have just over 1,200 works, primarily by Danish artists from the 1960s to the present day. Among others, you can see works by Per Kirkeby, Lizzie Mallow, Katrine Ærtebjerg, Kurt Trampedach, Miki Pau Otkjær, Karl-Åge Riget, and many more. Ask at the reception if you can borrow an Art Guide. Then you can take a self-guided art tour and learn much more.
Card Games & Board Games We have games such as BezzerWizzer, Trivial Pursuit, or a classic deck of cards. Ask at the reception to learn more.
Outdoor Activities
The golf course awaits just outside the door
As a guest at Konventum, you have the opportunity to use our 9-hole par 3 course, located right outside the conference center's entrance. If you bring your own golf bag, it is free of charge. Equipment rental is 100 DKK.
Forest fitness – our outdoor gym
If you are not afraid of the Danish weather, or perhaps just want to try a slightly different kind of gym, we highly recommend trying our forest fitness.
In the wooded area bordering Konventum, we have installed an outdoor fitness area that we call "skovfitness." Here, you will find several fitness machines made of wood, including instructions for use, which are free to use. Use it to wrap up a run in the forest, or get your heart rate up during a lunch break.
Hiking trails wind through the landscape
Isn't there a saying that all hiking trails lead to Esrum Monastery? Whatever the proverb may be, there is a wealth of hiking trails that lead you across the North Zealand landscape. In the reception, you will find several maps of hiking routes. You can also ask the reception staff for advice.
Petanque
At Konventum, we have a total of 4 petanque courts that you are free to use. We also have the equipment ready to borrow, so you and your family or friends can see who the true petanque master is.
Ask at the reception to borrow a petanque set.
Take a dip in the Øresund
Is it going too far to call the Øresund our outdoor pool? Perhaps, but it only takes ten minutes to walk from Konventum through the forest and down to the beach. We have seen many morning and winter bathers cheer over this opportunity. But of course, you can also just relax, listen to the lapping of the waves, and feel the sand beneath your feet.
Explore Helsingør and Royal North Zealand
Many experiences await you in and around Helsingør. In fact, Helsingør is the perfect starting point for exploring Royal North Zealand.
Experience the breath of history when you visit Kronborg Castle, dive into maritime history in the architectural gem that is the M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark, or taste the world at Værftets Madmarked (The Shipyard Food Market). You can find plenty of inspiration for your experiences in and around Helsingør at Wonderful Copenhagen. Click here: https://www.visitcopenhagen.com/elsinore
FACILITIES
Movement and Exercise
As a guest at Konventum, it is easy to keep your body active, whether you prefer indoor training or outdoor activities.
Our fitness room is available with modern equipment for both strength and cardio training, allowing you to break a sweat before or after the day’s program. You can also treat yourself to a relaxing session in the sauna.
The beautiful area surrounding Konventum also offers plenty of opportunities to get your heart rate up or recharge your energy in the magnificent nature: take a run or a walk along the scenic forest paths, or hop on a bike and experience the surrounding landscape at your own pace. The forests around Konventum offer mountain bike trails, and Nordre Strandvej toward Hornbæk is popular for road cyclists.
“Forest fitness” at the outdoor fitness area, featuring exercise equipment made of wood, is another fun option. Or how about a round of golf? Konventum has a 9-hole golf course as well as a driving range, making it easy to fit in a round of golf between meetings. We are also neighbors with Helsingør Golf Club, one of Denmark’s oldest and most acclaimed parkland courses.
Last but not least, you can also take a refreshing dip in the Øresund all year round. Winter bathing is popular, including in Helsingør, and is no longer just for the hardiest Vikings.
No matter what type of exercise you prefer, you will find great opportunities and inspiration at Konventum.
